A continuation in my Paper Airplane series. I went a little different this time, having a little fun with the idea of a light burst from within. It’s all about what you choose to make your paper airplane from, at least it is for me. I like the idea of the paper airplane more than I do flying them. I admire those who can fold them and send them aloft for seemingly endless lengths of time. I have to admit that I am not very good at flying them, except for a few yards off at a time. I am fascinated with all the different ways I can illustrate my paper planes because this way, there is no limit to the creative ways I can fly them off. -YoPedro

I’ve been pushing the backgrounds a little further on my illustrations, seeing what I can do with them, so that they feel more integrated with the foregrounds. I don’t really know if it works, but I like how it looks to me, so that settles it as far as I am concerned. This particular illustration is kind of fun to look at with the planes falling off into the distance, and looking like snow or dust on the background. I tend to work an idea over and over until it makes sense to me, so I’ll see how far I can take this one. –YoPedro

Sometimes working a paper airplane over in my head, and then putting it into an illustration helps me take the concept a little further. This model floats into the scene just the way I want it to, and then I get to kick it around to make it look just the way I want. Either way, a paper airplane goes where it wants to, they are hard to stop. –YoPedro
